There is little debate that computers have replaced the textbooks of yesterday and although there is room for the romance of the printed word, computer literacy is undoubtedly a vital skill.
In a bid to give lesser priviledged children access to computers, SAP Labs initiated its 'Month of Service' program for October 2010. White the larger program included a series of fund raising community initiatives, the highlight was argubly the exclusive Charity Dinner held on the 13th October with Virender Sehwag in attendance. SAP Labs partnered with Shobiz Cares as SAP Labs employees came together to raise over Rs. 5 Lakhs for the creation of computer labs for 5000 underprivileged girls.
Shobiz Cares welcomed the opportunity to partner SAP Labs to make a difference to lives of some of our lesser privileged brethren.
"Shobiz delivers to our expectations which I believe are high. And I see that the same DNA runs through its CSR division, Shobiz Cares. When SAP Labs India decided to undertake its "Month of Service" culminating in a Charity Dinner with Virender Sehwag for the cause of computer literacy for girls, it was Shobiz Cares who stepped into the crease and batted for the cause. It was particularly gratifying to see that the high production standards were upheld by their CSR Division. Thanks to the backing of Shobiz Cares, we at SAP Labs India were able to deliver a successful event which translated into a significant proceeds for the associated charity."
